What are the scholarship requirements?

Generally, the main requirements are that the student is a Palestinian from Lebanon with proof of residency, holds a Lebanese high school diploma or its equivalent, and has been accepted into one of the universities or institutes accredited by the foundation.  You can refer to the annual announcement for specific criteria and conditions.

I did not apply to the foundation last year, can I apply now?

According to the foundation's policies, priority for scholarships is given to graduates of the current year. The foundation also provides an opportunity for graduates of the previous year only.

Can an economics student study scientific majors?

The foundation allows students from the Social and Economics branch to study a number of scientific majors, which are: (Computer Science - Nursing - Lab Sciences - Physical Therapy - Nutrition - Health and Social Supervision). The student must study the first semester at their own expense and achieve a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.

Can students with a technical baccalaureate benefit from the foundation in universities?

Yes, provided the student studies the first semester at their own expense and achieves a GPA of 3.0, and meets the rest of the foundation's conditions.

What are the percentages of the scholarships offered by the foundation?

The scholarships offered by the foundation range from full to partial. The foundation specifies all these details in its annual announcement. You can refer to the announcement for all the specifics.

What universities and institutes are accredited by the foundation?

How do I apply to the foundation?

Application to the foundation is done by filling out the electronic student program form on the foundation's website at www.maf.ps.

Does the foundation cover the summer semester?

The foundation does not cover the summer semester; it only covers the fall and spring semesters of each academic year.

What is the condition for the scholarship to continue?

The condition for the scholarship to continue is maintaining a GPA of 2.5.

Does the foundation cover remedial courses?

The foundation does not cover remedial courses, semester registration fees, or any other fees.

The foundation allows students to change their university or major only once, provided they submit a transfer request through the foundation's system. The foundation has the right to accept or reject the transfer request based on the specific review of each case. If a student transfers without prior approval from the foundation, they lose their right to the scholarship.

How is payment made by the foundation?

The foundation makes payments to students at private universities and institutes by directly transferring the financial dues to the universities' accounts after ensuring the students' success according to the foundation's policies and criteria. For the Lebanese University, the foundation pays the student directly after confirming their success. The student receives their financial aid once a year through one of the banks the foundation deals with. This assistance covers the full registration fee along with an annual aid.
